One2one was the newest and smallest of the four main networks. At launch it was very much aimed at the private customer with its infamous free evening local calls offer which led to congested lines and disputes over what constituted a local call. These days their charging structure is split into Anytime tariffs aimed at the private customer and Freetime tariffs aimed at the business customer; they have also dropped all distinction between local and national calls. Because their network is in some ways the patchiest they concentrate on price rather than on absolute coverage and for a significant number of users they would be the cheapest. PrepayThe way it works is simple. During the first £10 you spend each month, all calls (local and national calls and calls to any UK mobile network) at any time cost 30p per minute (text messages just 10p). Between £10 and £20, these calls become 20p per minute. Once you have spent over £20, all these calls are just 10p per minute. T-mobile are now the worst value pre-pay network. Pay monthlyT-Mobile have pushed far more for business customers than One2one ever did. Where as One2one used to offer free evening and weekend calls, now T-Mobile offer bundled daytime calls. On their 'Everyone' tariffs you pay £14.50 for 25 minutes, £17 for 50mins, £21 for 150mins, £29 for 300mins, £46 for 400mins or £97 for 1000 mins to any network. Non business users and and other off-peak callers can pay £13.99 and get 750 free minutes plus fifty text messages, but pay 40p peak. Twenty pounds gets you 1500 off-peak minutes. They also now offer a mix it option where you pay for your bundled minutes by direct debit but for additional calls by pay as you go; it seems pointless for most users. Key Features
